    I never know what to write in these things, really. I mean, I could write about what I did today, or what I saw, what I thought I'd like to take pictures of, but really, who would be interested in reading that? I'm no one special, just Hannah Abbott Ashford. I'm still not used to referring to myself as someone different. You'd think I would be by now.

    The day was pretty slow. I spent most of it sitting out by the lake, just enjoying the weather. Its weird really, the lack of students in the castle. Obviously, I stayed behind for the holidays. Not really so surprising. I'm curious as to who else did as well.

    I do hope everyone had a nice Easter though.

    The ball was amazing. To anyone who didn't go, you certainly missed out. Mr. Maltian, thank you for your company. It was a lovely evening. I look forward to doing it again sometime.

    Does anyone know if there's a Hogsmeade trip coming up? I was hoping to get a couple of things I saw last trip that caught my eye.

    I probably shouldn't be writing an entry in my journal during Care of Magical Creatures but I just can't seem to concentrate seem to be a little bored at the moment. Perhaps I should pay attention.

    Valentine's Day... ugh. I want firewhiskey. And chocolate. And the nearest bed so I can shut myself off from Hogwarts the entire day when it comes around. I want to go home.

    Legens Introduction
    I suppose I should finally stop to do this, seeing as how I can't really get any sleep.

    My name is Hannah Ashford. I'm one of the new kids here. I'm a fifth year Hufflepuff and kind of... quiet. It really has nothing to do with any of you so much as it has to do with the fact that I'm a little overly cautious I suppose. Normally anyway.

    Um, I hope to have fun here so if you see me, just say hi, I guess. That's all. Merlin, I'm so lame.

    I'm not sure what will go in this thing other than my thoughts and my musings. Possibly nothing but boring tidbits. Most probably won't even be public. But the fact that they're there, that I'm able to go over them, may be of some comfort. I've never had one of these before, but they say if you write things down, they're less likely to fester... or something akin to that. Maybe. So, here's hoping.
